We champion African American and minority-owned small businesses in Durham through advocacy and training. Our Rites of Passage program guides young Black males ages 13-17 with mentorship and skills development to prepare them for success in trades and leadership roles.

The Durham Business & Professional Chain (The Chain) is your go-to hub for connecting within the Triangle’s vibrant business community. With deep-rooted relationships across local businesses, institutions, and key influencers, The Chain offers members the opportunity to grow their network, achieve their goals, and support the advancement of the local Black business community.

Business Advocacy
We actively support minority-owned businesses by creating opportunities and representing their interests at local events and forums.
